Bo Wiget - Cello, FX, Samples, Voice

Max Oliver - Drums, Sequencer, Octapad, Voice

Vampyr 6006 were recently described as Switzerland's best now wave band. In this case, the term 'now wave' stands for more than just a stylistic etiquette - it implies a fundamentally energetic attitude.
Sequencergenerated techno, trip-hop or industrial elements mingle with metallic hardcore duets - and behind everything lies a driving power covering up the fact that merely two musicians are at work. Max Oliver knows how to use his drums and electronic devices to create a broad range of grooves and moods. Bo Wiget elicits the whole spectrum of metal from his cello
(often used as bass and guitar simultaneously) and at times sur-
prisingly interrupts the noise with some sweet string melodies and experimental soundscapes.
The musicians, both being former / present members of several
jazz, rock and noise bands, left their names on various CDs.
They have shared the stage with members of Altered States, Ground Zero, Affront Perdu, Erbsline, and others.
Vampyr 6006 gigs are assisted by the band's own sound engineer
Lenny van der Lelie, whose sound-architectonical influence has become an increasingly important element of the shows.

" Any Vampyr 6006 concert is like a masterpiece smeared on a paper tablecloth, to be thrown away right after dinner. Improvized parts alternate with well-studied song material, nevertheless sounding like it was made up on the spot - interwoven bits keep complementing each other harmonically."
(Botto Kar)

" You are the best organized noise band I know. I've never heard a band like Vampyr 6006 before," said an enthusiastic David Yow (from The Jesus Lizard) after the two had played in Fribourg / CH.
